20 things every teacher should do | The Reflective Educator

20 things every teacher should do | The Reflective Educator | Eclectic Technology | Scoop.it
Beth Dichter's insight:

Have you considered creating a "core set of teacher practices" that you use and you think other teachers should use? David Wees had done this with this chart of 20 Things Every Teacher Should Do. Check it out and if you have items to add make sure to let him know.

Kate JohnsonMcGregor's curator insight, September 24, 2014 3:59 PM

This is not a completely comprehensive list, however,  it is a good idea for trying to focus our priorities in a job that is so multifaceted that it is often overwhelming. I might consider reorganizing the list into action items and philosophical items, and choose one or two a week to focus on.

ClassConnect | Find, build and share lessons

ClassConnect | Find, build and share lessons | Eclectic Technology | Scoop.it

ClassConnect defines itself as the easiest way to build and share your lessons. You may build your lessons, adding websites, online videos and more; search for lessons others have build; organize and store your lessons; and share and collaborate with students, parents and collegues. What intrigued me as I looked at this site is how it came to be. In the blog Eric Simons says "during my junior year of high school (almost two years ago), my chemistry teacher pulled me aside and asked the question that changed the focus of my life: "What would make you interested in learning what I’m teaching?" This website is his answer to the question!
