Pedagogy in the new online learning world still seems under-theorised.
The author suggests that most online learning has simply continued the pedagogical principles of the old distance-based learning that began over 100 years ago and of the traditional face-to-face methods. Electronic technology is here to stay and is morphing all the time. It's time to think outside the box and take a new look at what the goals of education are and what are the best ways to achieve those goals.
