Many of us remember back when online learning wasn’t yet a ‘thing’. Back when classes happened almost exclusively in a classroom, and the internet was something we snuck downstairs to use when our parents were asleep (if the dial-up modem didn’t wake them up).

 

For the most part, the people that we hear from think that online education was a pretty recent creation – definitely a child of Generation Z. Which for many people seems pretty reasonable, since that is when they most likely became aware of it. But is that actually how it happened?
